This has led to the emergence of random urbanization and land misuse, which has created a poor transportation network, thus creating a non-urban and informal form of cities. The study highlights the current situation of the cities of the transport network, land use and problems, and attempts to develop solutions and proposals that help to link the use of land to the most appropriate form and planning for transportation. This study is especially concerned with Qalqilya, the study area, which suffers from a variety of problems. The most important of these is the presence of the Apartheid Wall, which constitutes a major obstacle to transportation and land use, and the increase in population in the city is critical. The city is confined within the wall to prevent expansion, which negatively affects the movement of transport and increase the pressure on the main streets and the emergence of the need for solutions to this problem. This has led to the presence of new areas in need of services and public facilities in the areas on the outskirts of the city, which led to the need for roads and streets to connect the city center and delivery of public services. Due to the absence of legislations and authorities to regulate the use of the land, random distribution of land uses and overlapping between them emerged.

- ItemPlanning and developing the surrounding area of the Arab American University in Jenin Governorate(2018-05) Khader, Munir; Abdelhamid, AliThe Arab American University region has witnessed during the last twenty years, a remarkable development in all levels and in various fields. Which led to an acceleration in the development and investment in the area, but this has been accompanied by negative results both in the area of the Arab American University and its surrounding area. Including depletion of natural resources, attack on the Palestinian countryside and high value agricultural land, and exploitation of the land with a view to maximizing profit, regardless of resulted damage. All these reasons and causes, called for the urgent need for planning and to find logical and contemporary solutions for the existing situation, in order to maintain the region's natural & human resources, and meet requirements of the local community for the existing moment and for the future. The planning idea is to make a detailed and a comprehensive analysis of the area surrounding the Arab American University, then identifying the main opportunities, potentials, risks and challenges in it, that would help us in identifying the main criteria for defining the area of planning and development. After that, the area is analyzed in details, and the main environmental, urban and service problems has been summarized, and the radical solutions has been emerged by proposing a structural plan for the planning and development area in the Arab American University. By the last phase of the work, several development projects were proposed for the region to address problems at different levels, include local detailed problems (student housing, design and planning standards) or community level problems (old towns and villages); and others discuss problems in areas that area wider than the proposed structural plan (stone quarries, breakers, sewage, agricultural land, recreational youth projects ...). Through this research, we have been able to reduce many problems and eliminate others. The Arab American region can be seen as a holistic approach that promotes the idea of joint and integrated planning with the surrounding area, and considers new proposals in the field of organization and construction, . In this context, we have been able to prepare a developmental planning plan for the Arab American University region, based on scientific approach, realizing the vision that we have set in advance, which is “planning and developing the Arab American University region, at the same time achieving the immediate and the future needs of the local community.”
- ItemPlanning the western suburbs of the city of Nablus(2018-05) Hamdan, Salah; Abdelhamid, AliCities are the main urban environment in which people live and exercise their various activities. However, the population pressure and the increase in population density in the cities has led to the expansion of cities either spontaneously or through government plans aimed at making the expansion areas new growth centers. From the overcrowding and the deterioration of facilities and the limited space available for urban expansions. The process of developing clear classification criteria that takes into account the specificity of these centers will contribute to the development of the correct mechanisms to achieve the desired objectives of its establishment in both quantity and quality and on all levels and sectors, Li role Kabaar and its importance in cities and their adherence to the planning and the social role of urban and inevitable mutual influence between them and the city. At the local level in Palestine, a clear mechanism and criteria for the classification of residential neighborhoods have not yet been put in place. Therefore, the process of developing plans to solve the problems of local communities does not take into account the specificity of the suburbs. In many cases, the suburbs have started to suffer problems from the city. Most of the suburbs that are currently established meet the needs of the population in terms of quantity but do not meet them in terms of type. In many suburbs, the level of services required according to the urban planning criteria In accordance with the aspirations of the residents. It is therefore necessary to work on the establishment of integrated urban projects that meet the needs of the local population and the introduction of the principle of self-sustaining new suburbs "and revitalize them and make a number of urban centers important regional centers with an economic and service-based basis The establishment of such suburbs will contribute to solving the problems of existing cities Which suffers from overcrowding, deterioration of facilities and limited space available for urban expansion. As for the project site, the city of Nablus was selected for several reasons, the most important of which were the lack of urban areas for urban expansion and the deterioration of facilities in the city, in addition to the high pressure on services and congested streets in addition to the great urban communication between the city and the surrounding suburbs, The establishment of such a project in the city will contribute to the creation of a more organized urban environment and urban attractiveness that absorbs part of the population increase in major cities and contributes to the protection of land and the environment.
