- Item3 axis laser engraver CNC machine(2023-06-19) Tha’er Dwikat; Abd Alhameed BahishABSTRACT CNC technology has become a requirement in the industrial world, manufacturers of this type of machine are trying to conform to the market requirements in terms of quality, price, and quantity, and so the CNC machine can meet the requirements and has acquired a leading position. Using CNC machines is more cost-effective, accurate, and much faster. It’s the ability to manufacture complex shapes with high quality and accuracy compared to the ordinary machines. The vast majority of today’s CNC arsenals are completely electronic. Some of the more common CNC-operated processes include ultrasonic welding, hole-punching and laser cutting. In this final project, a 3-axis laser engraver CNC was designed and developed, that has two linear axis and one rotational axis capable of engrave "draw" on cylindrical parts. Starting from the mechanical design, then the electric and controller selection, followed by the software, programing and finally the results and dissolution.

Its applications include numerous amount of manufacturing process such as drilling, milling, 3D printing etc. the goal of our project is to create a simple cheap homemade CNC milling machine. This will provide us with the main concepts and basics of any CNC machine. The project deals with the history of CNC and milling, the different classifications of milling and the mechanical and electrical design of the proposed 3-axis CNC milling machine as well as the software used to control and perform the milling process. This project deals with the design and construction of the CNC milling machine. This graduation project satisfies the requirements of Mechatronics Engineering.
- Item3-axis cnc milling machine(2016) Enas Fouqha; Mahmoud Radwan; Rimal Zaareer; Wala Blebleh; Zaid Hmaid; Salameh Abdel-FattahThis project is important for both industrial and economic sectors of our lives; because it provides a modern alternative to the traditional machining stations, producing work pieces with good quality in reduced time and with fewer efforts.CNC (CNC stands for Computer Numeric Control) technology serves also in research and development; many complicated prototypes of mechanical parts can be easily obtained by this technology.Finally, CNC technology represents the future for industry, and the new trend of machining.In this project, the main aspects to be covered will be the mechanical design of the machine, the electrical and electronic components and circuitries to run and control the machine, and finally the software and programming with the relevant interfacing.The main objectives of this project are:1- Applying the skills and sciences learned in mechatronics and creating a complete and integrated mechatronics system.2- Building up a CNC machine with good quality and less expensive locally.3- Enhancing the industry in our country by providing the workshops and factories with locally made machines that can compete in the local market against the imported ones.4- Enhancing the economy by making CNC machines with less cost than those made outside.

Computer numeric control (CNC) machines are very important in industrial applications from small-scale industrial workshops to large companies. 3-Axis Milling CNC Machine can produce more complicated, more accurate, less waste material and time-efficient products. In general, CNC machines became very common in several industrial operations. CNC machines are used for metal shaping; such as Plasma machines, Laser machines, and tool operating machines. CNC machines are also, used for wood shaping such as the proposed CNC milling machine. The 3-Axis Wood Milling CNC Machine is a three-axis machine, where a three-dimensional design is prepared by computer software, that's called computer-aided design (CAD). The proposed wood milling CNC machine is expected to produce wood products of complicated shapes that could be for decorations. This project will cover the basic components of CNC machines, mechanical design portions, electric components such as controllers and motors, and eventually the programming part of the machine will be accomplished. We also added all this information and knowledge that was researched and investigated to reach the most accurate information for the production of the machine. The result was identical to the information presented in this research.
- Item3D printer(2016) Haya Nasser Mansour; Nidaa Yousef Rawajbeh; Maha Tawfeq Maqbol; Soujod Rehan; Salameh Abdel-FattahThe main idea of this project is to produce a solid object from a very thin layer of plastic.This report will talk in details about 3D printer as subsystem.At first, it started with talking about 3D printer technology its principle, troubleshooting, and constraints . The second part was about mechanical architecture, the frame, printbed, extruder and endstop. The last part of the report was about Hardware and Software controllers, this part discussed the software available and talked about slicer software as a case study. We build our 3D printer and calibrated the three axis of movement, printbed boundary and the temperature of extruder and filament. Finally, we will connect the 3D printer to a software program on PC. We can also use SD card instead of computer.

They’re remarkable because they can produce different kinds of objects, in different materials, all from the same machine. A 3D printer can make pretty much anything from ceramic cups to plastic toys, metal machine parts, stoneware vases, fancy chocolate cakes or even (one day soon) human body parts. The project is a machine to make 3D printing decoration from sugar dough or chocolate for custom design cakes. The need of the machine increases due to the variety of sweets and deserts. It is print many shapes in several colors. The machine to be used as a replacement to traditional homemade cake decoration because it’s save time and effort. It’s make complex accurate shapes. The main goal of this project was making combination of food art catering and engineering to make lucrative business. So this project discusses the body of the machine step by step.

In this project we will talk about our 3D printer as a full system.

- ItemAuto Tire Inflation System (ATIS)(2021) Khaled Amarneh; Numan HammadWheels are one of the most important part of vehicles and they are permanently vulnerable to changes to cope with the new technologies and enhances both on manufacturing technique and the materials that are used. One of the primary concerns of the wheels is maintaining air pressure of the tires to guarantee passengers comfort and car efficiency that can affect fuel consumption as well as the dynamic behavior of a vehicle. Furthermore, losing pressure on tires can cause a danger on the passengers as the car may become unbalanced on the street and also can harm the wheel rim when the tire falls down. Therefore, maintaining tire inflation pressure automatically, without the need for human intervention, is becoming a hot topic these days. Thus, this project aims to design an auto tire inflating system (ATIS) that can check the tire inflation pressure, compare it to a target value and manage inflation and deflation actions to realize and maintain the target inflation pressure. The proposed system will be applicable for all vehicles of classes B and C without any change in the vehicle component and/or structure. The main objectives of this project are the following: • To help drivers guarantee a suitable pressure, over a narrow tolerance range, without the need to change the puncher wheel; especially in the event where they are far away from gas stations/Mechanical workshop, as well as saving time and effort on the driver. • To present a specifically developed solution for the utilization of an auto tire inflating system in a passenger vehicle and to automatically manage tire pressure through inflation and deflation actuation. On the other hand, in this project, we will solve several challenges that occur in ATIS systems, such as connect air of pump to the wheel. Finally, all the challenges in electrical conductivity and the amount of air coming out of the pump will be discussed and analyzed in details.
- ItemAUTO-TRACKING SOLAR RADIATION SYSTEM(2014) Mohammad Attayyeb Abu Kishek; Abbas Atabeh; Aseel Salem; Hamzeh Zayed; Bashir M.Y NOURIPalestine is considered a poor country in the sources of fossil fuel ,nowadays this fossil power prices are raise to Significant levels, which is not affordable by our economy especially that the demand on this type of power is increasing, and its prices is expected to go higher & higher which our citizens cannot withstand. On the other hand, the new strategy of the Palestinian government is that, the citizens could share the Electric Power Distribution Company is producing electric power by utilizing the solar energy. The rules of that share that; a house has to produce at least 5 KW of electric power. To produce 5 KW you need 16 m of fixed solar panels that cost about 8,000 USD. As long as Palestine is a sunny country, the most suitable solution for our poverty in fossil fuel is to look for the means that allow us to utilize the free power of the sun. The auto tracking solar radiation system is considered to be the most efficient way to utilize the most amount of this power, to reduce the need area of solar panels that will save in the capital cost of such systems.Auto-tracking solar radiation system is a kind of two axes robot that is able to always keep the sun rays perpendicular to the surface of the solar panel. In this project, the literature review of the solar radiation systems will be studied and compared to obtain the optimal design of the auto tracking solar radiation system. The design steps of the optimal auto-tacking solar radiation system will be as follows:Firstly, the mechanical and electrical actuators will be designed and selected. Secondly, the required transducers and control components will be designed and tested. Thirdly, the complete auto-tracking solar radiation system will be constructed and tested. Finally, experiments will be done for the purpose of comparison between utilizing solar energy by auto-tracking solar system and the fixed ones.
- ItemAutomated General Purpose Safety and Security System(2016) Moemen Atweh; Zaid Jaradat; Yousef Qasrawi; Bashir M.Y NOURIThe automated safety and security systems concern about accidents such as fire accidents, gas leakage accidents and theft accidents, these systems are nowadays used everywhere like industrial factories, companies due to its necessity in preventing such as these accidents.This multipurpose automated system consists of several sensors and detectors in order to detect the accidents the system deal with such as, temperature,flame, gas, motion and break window sensors, it is also consists of control devices to deal with the accidents such as, GSM shield, solenoid valves and stepper motor, not to mention warning devices, display screen and keypad to ensure the safety by entering a password. That means all of sensors, control and warning devices work as one unit to perform a safety and security system.

- ItemAutomated pharmacy(2013) Aseel Majed Nassar; Manar Hasan Ramadan; Ola Hazem Al-Aghber; Rudina Maher Dwikat; Aladdin MasriAutomated storage and retrieval system is the project connect mechanical , electrical , and control systems , to perform many tasks such as storage and retrieval operations and control the inputs and outputs , it can be used in workplaces , pharmacies wherhuosies , storage places , and it can be used in the supermarkets .The project constructed using four chrome rods and the aluminum plate which moving horizontally on these rods by bearings at the edges and acme thread in the middle, this plat carry the vertical rail and the rail of the gripper, all these motion created by 4 stepper motors, the steps and direction are controlled by Arduino controller, the project uses ac/dc switching charger power supply and drivers for protection and connection between the power supply and Arduino. The project also contains barcode reader to infer the appropriate location of the drug in the process of storage and retrieval,and the shelves which Contains two holes, hole in the top and hole in the bottom use the slot upper for storage system where they are dropping from it.The purpose of our project is to save the time , space , increase the income of the pharmacy , reduce the errors during distracting , and give the pharmacies more time for checking the medicine before giving it to the customer .but it need high initial cost to perform , and increase the unemployment in the society.

After the Arduino received the values, it will turn on the machine and the product will pass through several processes. A screw will push the product toward the cutting knife which in turn, move and cut. . The machine will slice the product according to what it has received and put it on a plate. Then the slices will weighted by a balance. When it reaches the required weight the Arduino will send a signal to the machine to stop cutting. As a future work, A belt could transfer the pieces to the place of packaging. Then it will label the bag by the weight. It is possible to add improvements on this primary transfer line to develop it.By using this machine labor cost will reduced and the accuracy of the weight will increase. Also the errors will decreased, Time of process will decrease thats why the machine is important.Maybe this project was done before and already used in markets but not exactly the same. The new idea here is that the weight and thickness will be specified from the customer directly to the machine that automatically achieved the desired and then stop.

- ItemAUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR CHOOSING SOLDIER IN ARMY(2012) MoathOmair; MontaserIshtawi; Ahmad shouli; Bashir M.Y NOURIOne of the problems within Army units is collecting accurate height and weight data and to know more about if they have flat foot or problem in the main body of soldiers. Time management is another problem since it takes a substantial amount of time to process many soldiers, for example: writing down the name, age, sex, height, weight, and last four numbers of the social security number and after that inputting this into the computer into a specific military form for each individual soldier. This project will involve the building of an Automated system for choosing soldiers that will automatically record the weight and height, test the flat foot, and color blindness. Based on the results (sex, age, height, and weight and the other information) the soldier will have or not have to be taped according to the army standards. If the subject is out of the range, further measurements have to be done manually to see if that person meets different body fat percentage standards.
- ItemAutomatic Burgar Machine(2023-01-15) Saleh abualiBecause of the booming fast food and restaurant industry in Palestine, butchers are seeing an increase in demand for burgers in particular. The manual force makes around 100 burgers per hour with low quality, varying weight, and low precision, but the machine produces about 500-2000 burgers per hour with high accuracy and weight, and there is also a significant cost for importing such burger making machine from other countries such as China, Germany, and Turkey. Manufacturing such a machine domestically will be far less expensive and easier to maintain in the Future. In order to satisfy the needs of the local market for such machines, a model of an affordable burger-making machine is designed and fabricated in this project, the model was produced for the benefit of a local Butchery shop in Qalqilya city called (The butchery of Qalqilya), who provided the financial support under ABET agreement template. In this project, the design and manufacturing of the Automatic Burger Machine was completed, several problems were overcome, and the market was researched in West Bank cities, including butcheries and restaurants because they are the main targets customers. Solidworks program was used in the conceptual design then it was also used for the final Design for Manufacturing model. The Design of the final model was completed and delivered to a local manufacturing company (National manufacturing Company) to fabricate the machine under an agreement signed by the beneficiary (Butchery of Qalqilya) and the manufacturer; the agreement gave the project team the permeation to participate in the manufacturing process, and assembly of the control system for the machine. The obtained machine is able to produce high quality packed burger pieces with an adjustable production rate varying from 300-1000 piece per hour. The machine is standardized to give 100g burger with 13cm diameter and 8mm thickness, this standard size can be easily customized by changing the moulds size.
- ItemAUTOMATIC SEEDS PLANTING(2013) Allam Abu Hasan; Ahmad Farraj; Hiba Adli; Ghader AlfarAutomation is the use of control system and information technologies to reduce the need for human work in the production of goods and services. Also, it greatly decreases the need for human sensory and mental requirements, increases the productivity and reduces the labor cost. In the current scenario, most countries do not have sufficient skilled manpower specifically in agricultural sector and it affects the growth of developing countries. So its a time to automate this sector to overcome this problem. An innovative idea of our project is to automate the process of sowing seeds such as sunflower, baby corn, groundnut and vegetables like beans, ladys finger, pumpkin and pulses like black gram, green gram etc to reduce the human effort and increase the yield.The main components of the production line are the pneumatic system, the conveyor belt, motor, sensors, and microcontroller. The conveyor belt allows the trays to move in a straight line from one position to another. When the tray is detected by the sensors fixed on the table of the conveyor, the operation of sowing will start and then the tray will move to the trolley by the worker. This operation will be repeated for all trays that farmer want to sow.

Axelo is an advanced type of CNC machine modified as robot which can move freely not fixed in one space like any other CNC machine, Axelo is a robot which can cut & groove any material sheets, can be moved to any work place since it has a small and not so heavy weight in counteract to any other CNC machine, it has a reasonable price which can be affordable for the costumer. Axelo’s specifications can be summarized in several things, portability which means that it can be used in any place by anyone who works in the field, it has high efficiency, good quality, speed and less time to finish work. Manufactured parts are made identical with the highest level of accuracy. Design and specifications are programmed into computer which means minimal errors during production and no unnecessary waste. Axelo has a 220 volt cable which is used to power the robot, its total current is about 10 Ampere. Axelo principle of work is that the robot will take the drawing (sketch) desired that will be installed to Estlcam that will choose the feed speed. The use of the cutting tool depend on whether it’s cutting or grooving, and then the G-code will be transferred to the robot microprocessor and with that Axelo can control the wheels movement in desired directions that G-code has commanded and also control the tool rotational speed and height above the working sheet if the robot is cutting or grooving, with also to make sure it’s moving in the right track, so Axelo will be able to do the job as it intended.

The model consists of an overhead conveyor that is made from a system of 4-spocket gears and a chain. The rotation is of the system is accomplished through a 12V- DC motor . And it is controlled by the aurduino.
