Abstract
T1D, which stands for Type 1 Diabetes, is a healthcare follow-up application designed to sup-
port patients with Type 1 Diabetes in managing their daily health routine in an organized and
accessible way. The system provides tools for glucose tracking, meal logging, reports, appoint-
ments, notifications, and communication with healthcare providers.
The application supports multiple user roles, including patients, doctors, nutritionists, family
members, and administrators. Patients can record glucose readings, track meals, view reports,
book appointments, and communicate with doctors and nutritionists. Doctors can monitor
assigned patients, review glucose data, manage appointments, and provide medical follow-up.
Nutritionists can create meal plans and follow patient progress, while family members can
monitor patient safety and receive important alerts. The admin role manages users and approves
healthcare providers.
The system was developed using Flutter for the frontend, Node.js and Express.js for the backend,
MongoDB for data storage, and Firebase for notifications and real-time alert support. The
application also includes multi-language support for Arabic and English, dark mode, role-based
access control, and secure password management.
Overall, T1D aims to make diabetes care easier, safer, and more organized by connecting pa-
tients, healthcare providers, and family members within one integrated platform.
