Abstract
This project presents the design and implementation of Thikra, a smart photographer robot
developed to automate the photo capturing process in an intelligent and interactive manner.
The main objective of the system is to provide a hands-free photography solution that minimizes
human intervention while maintaining accurate framing and high-quality image results.
The system employs computer vision techniques to detect users, determine their position, and
measure the distance between the camera and the subject. Based on this information, the
robot automatically adjusts the camera orientation and position to ensure proper alignment
and balanced image composition.
User interaction is achieved through an integrated keypad, display screen, and audio feedback
system, allowing users to operate the robot easily and intuitively. Captured images can be
previewed in real time and printed instantly, enhancing the overall user experience.
Thikra integrates both hardware and software components, including camera modules, motors,
sensors, and microcontrollers, which work together to ensure smooth camera movement, reliable
user detection, and synchronized system control.
Compared to traditional photography systems and conventional photo booths, the proposed
robot offers autonomous operation, real-time user interaction, and automatic adjustment ca-
pabilities, making it suitable for events, exhibitions, and indoor public environments where
efficiency, accuracy, and user convenience are essential.
