Abstract
Entertainment plays an important role in enhancing the social, economic, cultural and health life of any country. Through recreational activities, individuals can reduce stress and anxiety levels and improve their physical health through physical activity. Entertainment also enhances social bonds and interaction between individuals, and the entertainment industry contributes to creating jobs and stimulating the local economy by attracting tourists and increasing spending in various sectors such as hospitality and trade. In addition, recreational activities provide unconventional educational opportunities and celebrate cultural heritage, which helps preserve cultural identity and pass it on to future generations.
This project was specifically chosen due to the lack of entertainment elements, i.e. lack of interest and neglect of the entertainment sector, and to take advantage of the distinctive geographical locations in the region and thus protect and sustain natural resources, which in turn contributes to attracting tourists and making it an important attraction.
It is expected that after implementing this project, it will contribute to creating new job opportunities and thus increasing investments and growth of local trade, providing education and training opportunities with high skills for intellectual advancement and raising the nation from its ignorance, and providing opportunities to practice various types of sports and recreational activities and thus organizing sports events and competitions at the level of countries, which in turn works to strengthen community ties and social cohesion. Hence, the importance of submitting a proposal to design and plan a regional entertainment complex northwest of Jenin Governorate, which includes (a sports area, green areas, a zoo, an administrative area, commercial areas, a cultural area, a cultural entertainment area, entertainment areas, children's play areas, and a public services area), to advance the country and activate the entertainment, economic, social and tourism sectors, and thus become a point of great importance in the region. The regional entertainment complex is located in the northern West Bank in Jenin Governorate within the lands of the towns of Yamoun and Arqa, with an area of 480 dunums, which consists of a group of entertainment areas that include an amusement area, dormitories, and children's games, green areas that include gardens and an amphitheater, a cultural entertainment area that includes a youth center and a women's center that includes cultural and entertainment elements, while the cultural area includes a cultural complex that serves at the governorate and national level, the social services area includes a mosque, a health center, an emergency center, and multi-purpose halls, the sports area that includes an Olympic football field, basketball and tennis courts, swimming pools, and a space for horse racing and athletics, while the commercial area includes clothing and gift shops, sports equipment, electronics, children's games, cafes, restaurants, financial services, and services dedicated to visitors, the zoo that includes a tourist resort in addition to a path that takes us to different types of animals and their facilities, while the administrative area includes the central administration building.
