Abstract
water distribution network (WDN) A water distribution system is a part of a water supply network with components that carry potable water from a centralized treatment plant or wells to consumers to satisfy residential, commercial, industrial, and firefighting requirements and others else. WDN is a very valuable infrastructure asset that has a significant improvement on public health and the environment and plays a major role in the economy, entertainment, and All sectors of life. This graduation project aims to improve the situation of the water distribution system in the village of Asira Ash Shamiyah. Where the village suffers from many problems related to the water distribution network, starting from the lack of water quantity and lack of access, and the network’s need for extensive maintenance, in addition to the continuous thefts that the village suffers from, where the losses are estimated at 30%, which represents a catastrophic rate. This GP aims to study the WDN of the village and solve the problems of the WDN and calculate the costs involved. To achieve the proposed objective, all relevant data are collected from different potential sources (e.g., the Municipal, PCBs, PWA, etc.). The collected data is analyzed and manipulated using appropriate software (e.g., GIS, Excel, etc.) to come up with proper input data for the study of the WDN, WaterCAD is then used for the analysis of the WDN given the acceptable standards and specifications
