Abstract
Given that our state, Palestine, is under Israeli occupation, it lacks the use of the latest smart technology in all sectors, which means cutting off from the smart world in the simplest developments that occur in the world. Here where many problems occur in all sectors, the most important of which is the educational sector, which is the basis of the industrial revolution in the world. Here, we start by talking about many problems that are facing the educational sector in Palestine, especially the recent pandemic (Covid-19) and it’s resultant damages, from a permanent interruption of education in universities, schools and all educational institutions, and heading to distance learning using the latest applications and websites, compared to other countries. On the other hand, universities lack the latest smart means used in education .So the smart campus can make the university life easy and could resolve some of the obstacles such as Unavailability of vacant parking spaces for faculty members and students , Unavailability of automatic umbrellas in the open yards in winter , The lack of a control system for refrigeration and air conditioning devices according to the weather condition , Facilitate the process of recording attendance and absence in lectures , Students crowds at the cafeteria , Lack of smartboards , Poor design and layout of classroom chairs , Conflicts in exam dates , Reservation of halls during examinations , Excessive spending on electricity (halls, laboratories, offices, corridors) , Unavailability of the map for the structure of the university . To provide all the necessary means to solve the problems facing all groups in the university (the board of directors, education staff, students, employees) in the best, most advanced, and intelligent way (IoT). With the great development that the world is witnessing in the light of information technology and the Internet of things, all mechanized operations in all aspects of operations are implemented in smart ways and with very wide and different techniques, for example, a house cannot be devoid of a mobile phone or laptop, and this represents the simplest things that depend on technology We realize here the importance of using modern technology in all aspects of life, whether in the medical, educational, economic, agricultural, and other fields. The importance of having smart technologies that support and enhance the educational process. During the research, we studied the operations within the departments of An-Najah National University and the existing challenges and obstacles faced by students, teachers, and administrative staff, as the problems and obstacles that somewhat affect the functioning of operations were sorted into academic problems and administrative problems. Regarding administrative problems, we mention the problems (activities that can Develop them) the following: first, time, crisis management, archiving, information preservation, logistical operations that take place inside the university, financial matters facing the financial department, the registration process for new students, warehouses and administrative buildings Concluding the academic aspect, we mention several problems related to the educational rooms, as they lack the presence of central heating and air conditioners, as well as the lack of a smartboard through which to save the information that is included for all the educational materials that are taught, and also during the examination period, there are several problems facing students such as the problem of the lack of a number There are enough chairs in the halls. Exam dates also conflict with each other. There is limited access to the educational resources in the library, as they are not available outside the library, and this makes it difficult for me to obtain the necessary information during the educational process. In particular, we mention the problems facing the teaching staff inside the halls, which are the problem of attendance and absence and the cumbersome and time-consuming paper processes inside the lecture. In particular, where more than 1000 lectures are given per week, and if we assume that the educational staff does not adhere to the process and its percentage is 50%, then we are talking about more than 500 lectures that are lost in the process of attendance and absence throughout the semester, and this is a great wasted time and can be improved and developed with modern and smart techniques
