dc.description.abstract1.1 Background With the increasing of water demand, and the shortage of water resources, it is necessary to design a (WDN) that deliver water to people with no leaking. our mission as engineers is to solve this issue by finding the proper solution to deliver a good quantity and quality of water for the people. 1.2 Project Objective • Analysis the existing WDN of Asira ash-Shamalya. • Find the problems in the existing WDN if there is any, and solve it by redesign the network. • Design a WDN for the town that cover the future demand for 2050. • 1.3 Significance of The Work The design of proper water distribution network is important. It ensures human health. The water authorities ensure the quality of the water according the standard specifications. Moreover, it saves money by avoid drilling their own well to collect rainwater, time and effort that people will make to get clean water proper for human use to satisfy the daily water needs. 1.4 Approach To achieve the proposed objectives, the required data collected from several sources like the Asira ash-Shamalya municipality, Wikipedia, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS), the Palestinian water authority (PWA), some governmental websites like Gemolg. The collected data including the population, water consumption, contour map, building distribution map, area and location of the site. By using some computer software’s like waterCAD, AutoCAD, GIS. The collected data used to design a WDN for the town that met the design specifications 1.5 Study Area Asira ash-Shamalya, which is a Palestinian town in the Nablus government, located 6 kilometers North of Nablus in the Northern West Bank, with an area of 29442 dunams, and a population of 8737 person.surrounded by other towns. from the east Talusa, Albathan and Azmout, from the north Yasidand Bet Amrean, from the west Zawata, Ejensenia and Nesif Jebel, from the south Nablus City, Asira ash-Shamalya had an average elevation of 680m above mean sea level. Get its water from different resources like the underground well and supplied by water from Nablus municipality.en_US
