Abstract
Water is the origin of life and wherever there is water, there is life. Without water no living
creature can survive. In general, the consumption of water is associated with the generation
of wastewater. A key problem in this regard is the disposal of the generated wastewater.
Among the criteria by which countries are measured in terms of advancement is the proper
disposal of wastewater. A high percentage of Palestinian communities in the West Bank
depend on their disposal of wastewater through the use of cesspits .Tel Village is not an
exception from that.
This method of using cesspits is a primitive method that produces many risks and negative
consequences. The most important of these consequences are: emitting foul odors, causing
health problems, pollution of the environment, contamination of groundwater and the high
cost during construction and evacuation. In many instances, there were loss in lives for people
who sunk in .The solution in such situation is to construct a wastewater collection network
and this is the key objective of this graduation project where this will be done for Tel Village.
In order to construct a wastewater collection network, we have to make the proper design of
this network. In order to design the network, we must use a specialized software in this field
in addition to the knowledge and the related data. I chose to use SewerCAD as the design
software. I will follow a methodology in order to achieve the objectives of this graduation
project. This methodology starts by collection the relevant data including the master
(physical) plan which includes the contours, road network and outline of the village. In
addition, data related to the water situation will be collected as well. Thereafter, I will
construct the network by determining the locations of manholes and the sewers. Design of
network will follow after that using SewerCAD. The cost of network will be estimated
