Abstract
Our project is to design a prototype for an automatic paint tinting machine that’s can be developed to a commercial machine which is very important for companies that import paints because they can’t afford the huge storage space to store all the paints that demanded by customers also the manual techniques can’t provide the satisfying accuracy in paint tinting.
Our objective is to produce a prototype for an accurate and reliable machine that’s can be developed to the commercial use , the most important aspects of the project is the accuracy of the machine and it’s ability of matching the required degree of the demanded color.
First , we looked at the design of the available machines , we found datasheets for such companies like COROB, ….. ) , then we will search about the dispensing technologies that used by the companies ,then we’ll search about the input techniques like the used color sensors , camera , pc and keypad , then we’ll decide the most suitable microcontroller (Arduino , raspberry pi ..etc.) that can make the proper operations and examine the most accurate and reliable actuators like valves or various types of pumps like the following block diagram shown
the LCD will write the type of the base paint (A,B,C).
, finally we will apply the final design with the most quality and cheap equipment.
There is already machines with the same function , Although , our machine will be much cheaper, more reliable and more sophisticated.
