| dc.description.abstract | • Qabatiya is a Palestinian village, located in Jenin city, about 10 km to the southwest, between longitudes 35.22, latitude 31.78, and at an altitude of 256 m above sea level. • The number of students at Qabatiya Elementary School for Girls is 450 students. • The number of classrooms in the school is 18 classrooms. It is equipped with laboratories and necessary facilities. In this project, we selected the Building of Qabatia Basic Girls School. The main objective of this project is to assess the architectural, environmental and safety aspects of the design and its compliance with international standards. In addition, this evaluation is based on architectural references, codes, requirements and considerations. The modifications of the original design will focus on making this building environmental friendly with high-energy performance. Our project will include construction details of all elements, design of electrical and mechanical systems based on national and international codes. A comprehensive structural design including seismic design will be a major part of our project in the second stage (project 2). All other systems; electrical, mechanical and HVAC system with complete design will be completed in project 2. In addition, bill of quantities and cost analysis will be provided when all systems are designed at the end of this project Qabatia is a Palestinian town located 10 km southwest of Jenin city. In this project, the primary purpose is to conduct some analytical studies, including the analysis of some public sites, structural, technical and specialized systems, which are detailed through in a detailed scheme, to see the variables created in the areas that can affect the use of the building by teachers and students during the year, including structural, morphological, modular and security concepts. After the structural, environmental and architectural analysis, we re-designed some of the architectural and environmental aspects in accordance with the requirements of the Palestinian Ministry of Education and also in accordance with international standards and recognized codes. We also re-designed the structural aspect as a whole, from the foundations to the finishes, according to the recognized structural design codes used by engineers in Palestine. As for the mechanical and electrical design, the analysis and design were done in accordance with the Jordanian code and the recommendations of the Palestinian Civil Defense in line with the international requirements of the codes. Many programs have been used for analysis and redesign, including AutoCAD, Revit, Design Builder, ETAP, SAP, etc. of engineering programs. The schematics were detailed with complete schemas of the necessary details and information. | en_US |
