dc.description.abstractThese days, graphical tools are growing fast, and you can see that the improvement on computers GPU, 3D printers, 2D drawing machines, movies effects, and game development are taken seriously. The big rewards today and the billions of dollars come with graphical work, this wheel will never be stopped, and the graphics will keep growing to infinity, so it is a good idea to have a hand in this large field. In the end of this project, we will produce a simple machine that can drawing faces or anything captured by a camera, in 2D mode upon a paper. First, let us explain why we choose "electro-gram" to be our machine name: Electro: came from electronic, so in our project the main features will be Arduino (1) and raspberry pi (2), which are electronic components. Gram: assigning to a something to be plotted. Here is the normal flow of our machine: 1. A photo captured by a camera 2. The photo itself will be transferring to the raspberry pi (2) device by a wire connection. 3. The raspberry (2) responsible to do image processing stuff. 4. At that time, the Arduino (1) microcontroller will receive commands from raspberry (2) and it responsible to analyze these commands. 5. The Arduino (1) microcontroller will control an X, Y coordinates motors based on the commands that came from raspberry (2), and the X, Y coordinates motors will move to draw the lines by using a pen, and the whole process will loop until the drawing finish. Today, there are many plotters models, but most of them are taking the photos from PC, in our project we will produce the drawing after the photo capturing by the camera. The exists plotters today, need PC to make the Image processing by a software, however our machine has its own computer to do all necessary stuff. Indeed, our project is an integrated drawing machine, you don’t need any extra devices, all necessary devices are came in one box, so you take a photo, and watch it drawn.en_US
