Abstract
This study aims at identifying the role of business intelligence systems in the development of human capital in the Palestinian banking sector by examining the relationship between the use of business intelligence tools (online analytical process, business performance management, competitive intelligence) and the development of human capital (Employee knowledge, employee experience, employee skill, innovation spirit).
In order to achieve the objectives of the study, we collected information from 11 banks cooperated with us. and the questionnaire was used as a basic tool for collecting the required data and employ the descriptive analytical approach for conducting the study by using the SPSS program.
The study showed several results, the most important is founding a significant relationship between the use of business intelligence tools and the development of human capital, as well as the variation in the role of business intelligence tools in the development of human capital.
The study concluded that the banking sector should increase the awareness of the use of business intelligence systems to help the development in human capital, and keep a continuous development and investment in human capital as a competitive advantage in the Palestinian banking sector.
