Abstract
This project considers integrated re-design of The Art Fine Faculty of An-Najah National University which located in the south west of the New Campus in Nablus city.
During our study period, we have noticed many problems in the fine art faculty which create the motive to introduce practical solutions in order to limit the problems that the students face, such as crowded corridors, lack of facilities, poor acoustics isolation, lighting problems and bad oriented spaces.
The project will be handled from different aspects, which includes architectural design comprises spaces and orientation, environmental design comprises ventilation, lighting and acoustics systems, to increase the efficacy and creativity of the students, knowing that the design of the faculty is available and will be subjected to modifications to match the required standards.
Due to the special problems existing in the faculty of fine art, in our engineering point view it is a great opportunity to apply what we had learnt theoretically in the mentioned aspects before, moreover mechanical and electrical design and the HVAC systems.
Our research will adopt on the data collection on condition building and the different problems in this building, after that it analyses by computer programs to study the results and find the solutions. At the end of the project, a comprehensive report that shows all of our works will be provided.
This project hasn't been done before as a separate topic, it was realized small part of them in other projects but here will be more in detail and as a main topic for this project.
