Abstract
Transportation has always been a major concern in any civilized society, and in the last few decades, air transportation of people and goods has grown rapidly. About five million Palestinians live in the West Bank and Gaza strip, with no airports to serve their needs in air transportation and cargo. Thus, passengers have to travel to nearby countries like Jordan or Egypt before taking a flight to their final destination. This procedure is time and money consuming. This project aims to give a practical solution to this problem by providing a detailed design of a proposed airport terminal in Jerusalem, including detailed architectural drawings of the building, 3D models of the structural components, and all the structural details needed for implementation and construction process. All the architectural drawings and structural details are made per specifications. The political aspects are beyond the scope of this work and would not be covered. Also, benefit-cost analysis is not conducted but could be done in future separate projects.
