dc.description.abstract | All buildings must have had a foundation, not only one, but as much as the building get bigger as much as the foundation numbers will be increased and get complicated. The fundamental purpose that gives the foundations a high priority for the Civil Engineering came from the fact that the foundations are the structural element that connect the structure to the soil. This element is invisible to the eyes, as it is located below the ground level. In addition, its main function is to transfer the loads of the structure to a larger area so that the pressure on the soil is reduced as we move downwards until it becomes less than its bearing capacity. For this purpose, the foundations should be designed as safely as possible to be compatible with their duty and bearing function. | en_US |
