Manufacturers are now a days facing intensive global competition. The Key competing in the international market place is to simultaneously improve both quality and productivity on continual basis. The major purposes is improving manufacturing processes and knowing if the rated capacity is over or under the total capacity, improve manufacturing cycle time, reduce inventory, reduce lead time and eliminate manufacturing waste .lean is most widely in industry that are assembly oriented or have a high amount of repetitive human processes. These are typically industries for which productivity is highly influenced by the efficiency and attention to of the people who are working manually with tools ore operating equipment. For these kinds of companies, improved systems can eliminate significant levels of waste or inefficiency. To achieve these the lean production principles and smooth flow of production uses several concepts like Kaizen , Kanban ,5s,OEE,Just in time (JIT), etc . TO overcome the problems that come from the current layout and the un-organized arrangement of resources designing an improved layout integrated with the future designed value stream mapping. At the end, Results are discussed and Recommendations will be suggested to achieve the goals of lean manufacturing of customer satisfaction and smooth flow production. In this project, Al -Amour Factory is taken as a case study to improve its productivity through the implementation of relevant lean manufacturing concepts The project will go through sequential steps as follows: defining the manufacturing performance indicators at Al-Amour Factory, sketching the existing process and map, measuring the current state of the process, eliminating the root causes, developing an initial framework to address the above issues implementation of lean tools based on identified waste, refining the frame work based on the previous step, studying the potential of applying lean on site. Finally deriving a set of guidelines based on results from theory and practice.en_US
