dc.description.abstract | The following graduation project presents the design and implementation of an integrated e-commerce website for *Glitter Store*, developed using WordPress and enhanced with Management Information System (MIS) functionality to support and automate core business processes. The overall goal is to create a dynamic website that automates key business processes such as order management, inventory tracking, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), ultimately improving operations efficiency, accuracy, and customer engagement. The platform features a comprehensive suite of tools, including real-time order tracking, instant inventory updates upon purchase or return, and a sophisticated analytics dashboard for monitoring sales trends, customer behavior, and inventory levels. The built-in loyalty program, enabled by myCred capabilities and enhanced with gamification features, including a Win & Win wheel, facilitates rewards in the form of earned points, which can be redeemed for gifts or offers, leading to repeat purchases and increased customer retention. To enhance decision-making, the project uses data mining with RapidMiner to categorize customers based on their order frequency and calculate their average order. This information is then used with Brevo to implement highly targeted email marketing campaigns targeting specific customer segments, increasing the relevance and effectiveness of communication strategies. By integrating customer relationship management (CRM) tools, one can learn more about customer preferences, improving service quality and increasing loyalty. Process automation reduces human error, streamlines inventory management, and prevents delays in order fulfillment, ultimately leading to increased customer satisfaction levels. Security was a top priority throughout the development process to protect company and customer data. These measures included Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption, distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attack detection, IP address filtering, a content delivery network (CDN), and advanced caching mechanisms using the Cloudflare platform. These steps ensure a safe and reliable shopping experience for customers. The project demonstrates that integrating management information systems (MIS) principles with modern e-commerce applications can result in a scalable and competitive e-commerce solution. In the long term, the system positions Glitter Store for sustainable growth, improved decision-making, and enhanced presence in the online marketplace. | |
