dc.description.abstract	This project was chosen for its need in our country, as there is only one psychiatric hospital in Palestine located in Bethlehem, and this hospital was not designed as a psychiatric hospital, but was an orphanage, and it turned over time into a psychiatric hospital, and it is located in the south and is difficult to Residents of the northern West Bank to have access to it. Therefore, the project proposes that there be a psychiatric hospital that serves the northern West Bank, and that it be the first building to be designed as a psychiatric hospital in Palestine. The chosen site is located in the Nablus governorate in the village of Al-Naqoura, in an area relatively far from buildings and noise and surrounded by green areas. The land is located on top of a mountain, giving the building beautiful views. The design idea of the project comes from the patient himself and the factors that improve his condition, so the structure of the building adopts shapes familiar to the eye, as well as colors, because unfamiliar colors and shapes may excite the patient and this negatively affects mental patients, and also plants and green areas were used in Throughout the project, because the landscape improves the psychological state of the patient and the medical staff, the building is divided into five main blocks. The two front blocks contain general functions such as emergency, outpatient clinics, and psychological consultations. The back blocks contain residence rooms with different sections: the section for elderly men, the section for the elderly women, the section of serious diseases for men, the section of serious diseases for women, the section of chronic diseases for women, the section of chronic diseases for men, the section for adolescents, , the section of progressive diseases For men, a section of progressive diseases for women. The project includes various activities for patients, such as playgrounds, a gym, different craft rooms, workshops, and agricultural areas. The project also includes a cafeteria, an administration department, and housing for medical staff.
