Abstract
Gato Lebanon Company was established in 1987 and currently operates four branches. The first branch is located near Al-Rawda Mosque in Rafidia, while the second branch is in Rahab Building, also in Rafidia. The third branch is situated at "Dawwar al-Mujamma' al-Tijari," and the fourth branch is in "Al-Souq Al-Sharqi." One of the major challenges faced by Gato Lebanon is its reliance on a paper-based system. Currently, the company uses an accounting software system that only includes employee names and fingerprints linked to the point of sale (POS). However, contracts, salaries, and other important matters are managed in an unorganized and paper-based manner. Communication limitations further compound the challenges. The system lacks integration, and communication between the four branches is inefficient and incomplete. This often leads to lost or mishandled accounts and a lack of organization in information management. The company has limited access to crucial employee information such as email addresses, phone numbers, and other personal details necessary for organizational and structural purposes, including salary structure organization. Additionally, there are no reports on sales, salaries, material costs, employee commitment, turnover rate, length of employment, or indicators for when new employees are required. Based on these issues, we have identified the implementation of a human resources system using Odoo as a suitable solution. To address these challenges, the proposed human resources system will provide comprehensive employee files. These files will contain personal information, employment records, salary and benefit details, performance evaluations, certificates, and more. By securely and systematically storing these files in a single database, employees and managers will have easy access to the necessary information. Another important feature of the system is attendance management. Managers will be able to track employee attendance, record leaves, vacations, delays, and early departures. The human resources system will provide an interface for employees to record their attendance and absences, enabling managers to centralize this data efficiently. The system will also support performance management and evaluation. Managers will have access to tools for assigning and tracking goals, conducting regular performance evaluations, and recording recommendations and notes. This feature will help monitor employee progress and ensure effective performance management. Furthermore, the human resources system will facilitate payroll and benefits management. Employees will receive their salaries promptly, as the HR module will provide tools for assigning salaries, handling alternatives, allowances, and deductions. By implementing the Odoo human resources system, Gato Lebanon aims to streamline its operations, improve communication, and enhance the overall efficiency of its employee management processes.
