| dc.description.abstract | Our project is a commercial building , which is located in Ramallah city. The aim of establishment is to collect number of commercial shops and offices in one building to solve the problem of overcrowding in the traditional markets. This project, which is already constructed , consists of three basement floors, ground floor, top six floors, and roof with a total area of 7422 m2 . The basements consist of parking and shops with an area of 2072 m2 . The ground floor has shops with an area of 788 m2 . In addition, the first floor and second floor has only shops , with total area of 1521 m2 , and the third floor until sixth floor has offices with a total area of 2433 m2 . Finally , the last floor is a roof with an area of 608 m2 . Structure models will be analyzed and designed using computer software ( Etabes2000 and Sap2000 ), and the results will be checked by hand calculations. In addition, AutoCAD will be used in drawing sections and details. The Structural elements will be designed as reinforced concrete members according to strength and serviceability criteria as specified in ACI 318-11, for seismic design UBC 97 will be used | en_US |
