dc.description.abstract1- Designing the foundations of the Salahat building located in Al-Ma'ajin area - Nablus , Considerate Design suitable bases to carry at least 7 floors . 2- check up the soil of the site to be built on and leveled to see how much it can bear the pressure on it. 3- Estimating the appropriate types of footing based on the soil report Choose the best type of footing based on strength and cost Procedure : 1- Soil samples were taken from the site and tested in the laboratory . 2- We distributed the loads to the entire building through the SAP program . 3- We calculated the amount of loads on the bases through the SAP program . 4- Appropriate rules were taken into account based on the soil report . Results: Based on the soil report the top soil is marl soil of medium plasticity that have medium swelling potential. A Shallow foundation was used for this site after improving the site with 40 cm of compacted base course and the allowable bearing capacity in this case is 210 kN/m2 (2.1 kg/cm2).
