Abstract
Quality control is a process designed within a company to ensure that the products or services offered by that company adhere to a predetermined set of quality standards. This process includes a set of procedures necessary to verify and control the level of quality of these products or services. The primary objective of quality control is to satisfy the requirements of the customer. Quality control is a very important issue in the food industry to ensure the effectiveness and safety of its products and raw materials. Since these products must be manufactured and tested to quality standards and testing must be carried out at a constant frequency. This project deals with the implementation of this process in Al Maslamani Company, which produces foodstuffs (nuts). The project defines statistical process control (SPC) as a method for monitoring, controlling, and improving a manufacturing process using statistical control charts as a tool for monitoring process changes, as well as other SPC tools (Pareto diagram, cause and effect diagram, graph, check sheets, scatter diagram, stratification). As a result, several goals can be achieved such as increasing customer satisfaction, reducing the percentage out of control, and providing continuous process improvement. Sunflower seeds and Armsh are the products we have chosen for our project due to their high demand. The project involves taking a fixed number of samples and applying some pre-defined tools to the collected data in order to monitor the quality status of the selected products.
