Abstract
Palestine suffers from high unemployment rates; especially among university graduates. According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics the general unemployment rate is31%in 2018; while the unemployment rate among university graduates is 50%., and the rate in engineering and engineering profession specialties is 39% among males and 69% among females. Matching job market qualifications demand and educational market qualifications will relatively alleviate the unemployment rates, and be useful for educational institutions, human resources departments, and students to plan the best suitable courses, training programs, and responsive curriculum. The study aimed to determine the responsiveness of outputs of higher education to the needs of the Palestinian labor market. The sample of the study represented graduates of industrial engineering, computer, mechanical, energy and environment in Palestinian universities in the West Bank and employers. In this project, the requirements of the labor market will be determined at the present time using questionnaires, and education outcomes will be determined using study plans. The study adopted descriptive and analytical approach. Five different questionnaires were developed; one for engineers in general and one for each of the disciplines mentioned above. The outputs of the study are expected to help universities know what qualifications the market exactly needs, and prepare fresh graduates to enter the work environment within less time.
