Abstract
Office buildings are buildings that’s provide several services such as finical, technical, administrative, tourists…etc.
In this project we aim to evaluate and redesign office building called (Sudah center).
This building was established at 2013 and located in Rafedia.st / Nablus will be the base model for this semester which consist seven floors.
This evaluation and redesign process for the current building will help to improve its functionality toward more sustainability.
The evaluation and redesign process will adopt the literature review and case study methodology. in addition, for some aspects such as structural, environmental and electrical.
Different specific software’s will be used in order to get accurate results like (SAP2000, ETAPS, DesignBuilder, Dialux evo…etc.).
The second part of the project in this semester will be an integrated design process for the building, the redesign process will connecting all aspects with each other’s starting with site analysis that describe the nature of the location and the topography for the land with knowing the climate for the city , moving to architectural design including spaces and orientation for the building, design the structural elements for the building such as slabs, beams, columns and footings , then design the environmental aspect which includes lighting design, acoustics and comfort by using software programs, also design for the mechanical part such as water supply system , HVAC system and elevator system, the safety design also will be done for the building and finally, the report will shows all the design process, quantity surveying for all works and the total cost for the project.
