Abstract
This project is mainly a static analysis and design for a commercial town center building located in Ramallah city “Rawabi town center” and consists of six floors the last floor will be a hall. The design will be accomplished according to ACI-318-11 code and using the structural analysis program “SAP2000” with hand calculations used for verifications and preliminary design. The project includes detailed design of foundation, ground and roof slabs in this system the load is distributed in both direction and we used waffle slab system, for the last floor girder system will be used, we will take a span from each slab then check it for shear and deflection and we will design it for flexure, the amount of steel needed will be discussed for each slab. Then we will take a beam and a column from ground floor and the roof and we will design them. The beams were designed using tributary area method, multi span and large space beams are used in all floors. The columns also will be designed using tributary area method. After that we will design the building to resist seismic forces. Also we will use Autocad program to draw plans and structural details.
