Abstract
Health sector is crucial in different communities, especially if it is a governmental sector. These sectors are known as continuously crowded places all the day. Hence, the governmental directorate of health located in the western region of Nablus at AL Makhfiah is selected to be our graduate project. The building contains administrative offices in addition to medical and laboratory sections. The project contains two stages, namely: evaluation and redesign stage. In the first stage, the building has been evaluated from different design aspects mainly architectural, structural, environmental, electrical and mechanical aspects. This has been carried out using different engineering computer programs, to identify the weak points of the building performance in different design aspects. In the second stage, the building redesigned to improve its performance through employing remedial actions for the weak points determined in the first stage. Second stage includes architectural, environmental, structural, electromechanical full design for the new building of the directorate of health.
