Abstract
Many organizations have problems with team allocation and management. Usually, the admin needs to login to the server to be able to view and manage the staff information. Also, the employees can’t see each other location in the building or general information about other users. Moreover, all companies needs a system which applies project and assets management. Our project solves these problems.
Team Allocation System was created using visual studio 2015 framework and windows server 2008 R2. The server was installed on a virtual machine and converted to a domain controller by activating active directory service on it to use it as the main source of employees’ information.
Then, it was connected to the application by configuring the IP’s of the server and the host PC. The project structure was build based on the concepts of ASP.NET/MVC-Model-View Controller applications. The main programming language used was C#. Some Libraries and plugins were also used to enhance the functionality of the project.
The website has two sources of data; Active directory server and SQL Database which differentiates it from other websites in its field since the active directory server is somehow hard to understand and deal with. The result was a secure and user friendly website with responsive design which matches the needs of many nowadays companies in the field of management.
Team Allocation System provides many useful features which are in short: Mapping, custody management, dynamic reports and project management.
