The scholar used the descriptive analytical method depending on library references and field recourses such as aerial photographs and structural designs of Nablus city which are depended on to produce the required maps by using Geographic Information System (GIS). Also, he used the study questionnaire where the scholar distributed 1404 questionnaire from among the study sample which has been analyzed by using Statistical Parcels System Program (SPSS). The study followed the structural expansion of the city allover the different periods (since the origin at the time of Kananas till the year 2006) and discussed the most important elements that influenced that expansion whether it was natural or human elements which appeared in the roll of many nations inhabited the city or the governments that followed one another. The study also, discussed the most important political events that came over the area. that affected the urban space regarding the distribution of building, services and the constructional density. The study demonstrated the roll that the municipality of Nablus city carries out and the most important changes that happened to the constructional expansion after the National authority had the sovereignty over the city in 1994. The study discussed the most important elements for choosing the resident sites in Nablus and the effect of various uses of land over the constructional expansion and inhabitant trends and their preference of an area than another inside the study area. Also, the municipality plans to organize the constructional expansion either those plans that have already been curried out or those being still carried out. The most important results that the study has concluded are: the constructional expansion of Nablus city expand like a lineal tape to the east and west which has been affected by the economical and political situations. Also the sorts of uses have a graete roll in deciding the direction of constructional expansion and the neighborhood of worshipping places and wives derives and keeping away from crowded places are the most important elements that affected the choice of inhabitant site. The most preferable areas for residence in the city are Rafiadia then Al-Makhfia and the least preference area is Askar plane area. The study presented a group of suggestions and the most important are: to accelerate putting political solutions through national cooperation organizing the uses of land inside the city, building housing projects for limited income people, and joining the expanded lauds in the city boarders with under constructional services.
