dc.description.abstractOur project target Nablus municipality to Optimizing municipality water and taxes collection by using appropriate BI tools and many techniques such as ETL (extract transform load) collect current and past data [ last three years data for water (monthly) and then make preparation ,transformation and cleansing for this data, Data cleaning involves removing the noise and treatment of missing values. The noise is removed by applying smoothing techniques and the problem of missing values is solved by replacing a missing value with most commonly occurring value for that attribute., The data needed to provide reports, dashboards, ad-hoc queries, so why not use the BI tools directly against this data? after that we built Data Warehousing a copy of transaction data specifically that is subject-oriented, integrated, time-variant and non-volatile collection of data in support of management's decision making process [query and analysis].Then built OLAP cube designed to convert data into usable information by allowing the aggregation of data--even when you don't know what characteristics may be important to the question and set of operations that allows fast analysis of data , such as pivoting, slicing, dicing, drilling , so users can analyze data faster and generate reports more easily, and slice-and-dice in ways they could never do before .To do (ETL ,Data Warehousing ,OLAP cube) we use Microsoft Sql Server 2008 R2 that provide services include Integration Services( SSIS), Reporting Services and Analysis Services. Analysis Services includes a group of OLAP and data mining , after do the last three step we can do ad-hoc report allowing each user to drag-and-drop the data that fits the intended objective and data mining prediction techniques support Nablus municipality with there performance and to be sure with accurate performance we built kpi (key performance indicators) and take decision through the resulten_US
