Midadium

Abstract

This report presents the design and development of Midadium, an AI-powered Educational Management Platform built to transform the traditional learning experience in schools into an adaptive, interactive, and student-centred environment. The platform enables teachers to upload structured video lessons and define their instructional goals through guided forms. Students, in turn, can convert the lesson content into personalized formats—including flashcards, interactive games, summaries, and worksheets—based on their individual learning preferences. A core innovation of Midadium lies in its integration of artificial intelligence. Using Gemini APIs, the platform automatically analyses lesson content, generates dynamic learning resources, and processes student course reviews to offer AI-driven feedback to teachers. Once a course reaches a review threshold, the system synthesizes comments and presents constructive “Do” and “Don’t” recommendations to improve content and delivery. This feedback loop enhances the overall learning quality through continuous data-driven refinement. The platform further includes key educational features such as real-time chat between students and teachers, assignment creation and submission, role-based dashboards (admin, teacher, student), and real-time notification systems powered by Socket.IO. Teachers can manage lessons, assignments, course materials, and student progress through an intuitive interface, while students benefit from flexible content access and engagement tracking. Midadium was developed as both a mobile application and a web application using Flutter and Dart, with a backend powered by Node.js and MongoDB. Real-time chat functionality is enabled through Firebase, while Socket.IO powers the platform’s notification system. Over a three-month development cycle, the system was implemented with a modular architecture emphasizing scalability, usability, and seamless interaction. The platform demonstrates strong potential for enhancing digital education by offering personalized, intelligent, and accessible learning experiences tailored to diverse classroom needs.
