In recent times, the number of students looking for university accommodation is increasing. This is why there is an urging need to build more student accommodations that can allow for easy access to university. In doing so, it is important to develop non-traditional and contemporary designs to help attract students. In the current project to develop student accommodation, the focus will be on looking into new resources to help in building low cost, efficient, and eco-friendly housing for students. The main aim is to offer students a suitable and functioning environment. It is therefore necessary to investigate all potential problems and opportunities in the early phases of the project. So, the initial design phase will begin with data collection to develop an overall understanding of architectural, environmental, mechanical and electrical aspects of the project. This would help in generating good insights into foundational requirements of the project. The next phase would be focused on implementing design proposals. For this purpose, software applications such as AutoCAD can be used to design 2D planes, 3D models, E-Taps, design builder, DIALux and other structural models needed for the project.en_US
