The Western Part of Nablus Ring Road connects Nablus-Qalqilya Street south west of Nablus City with Nablus-Tulkarem Road in the west. It also extends to Asira Al-Shamaliya Road north of Nablus connecting An-Najah University New Campus with the University Educational Hospital. The road has different types of distresses, so it is important to highlight these problems, find causes, types and try to find the most potential solutions that Nablus municipality may apply and take into consideration in the future. This research is an in-depth investigation of the performance, evaluation of the pavement conditions on the ring road, define all types of distresses on the road, find the most possible solution for these distresses and prevent other problems that may occur in the future.  The proposed methodology in this study will be applied by visiting Nablus Municipality and taking all available information about the road, then a field visit for the road will be conducted. The road will be divided into sections each 100m length, In depth inventory and road inspection will be applied for each section by recording all types of pavement distresses such as drainage problems, portholes, longitudinal cracks, deformations, etc. After that the rate of each section will be calculated using the pavement condition index (PCI) and accordingly identified the proper maintenance action for each section. Two or three samples will be taken from the severe distresses areas and these samples will be analyzed the material lab of the university. Finally, the work done will be presented in report with all necessary figures, maps, and tables. The expected results for this project will contribute in providing recommendations for prolong the life of existing pavements and improving the construction and supervision activities taken into consideration the available budgets for road maintenance.en
