Abstract
Water is necessary to all living things, since it is used in a lot of aspects of life, like drinking, washing, industry and irrigation. Water is important to the human body; the body cannot function without it . It is natural that the use of water will produce wastewater and as a result it should be considered as a safe way is to treat it, because it has negative effects on human health, animals, the environment and plants. Traditionally, wastewater is disposed of using cesspits, which cause many problems to the environment, like contamination of ground water by wastewater, due to infiltration, which eventually leads to many problems for people, like putting them at risk, and cost them a lot in order to evacuate. So the safe way to dispose from this wastewater is to design a wastewater collection network and if we can reuse it. The best design of sewer networks, firstly, requires a good knowledge about the wastewater generation, which depends on the population and the consumption of water. Secondly, it requires sufficient knowledge in hydraulic principles, which are essential in the design of sewer network and finally, the knowledge in specialized software for sewer design, like SewerCAD and processing tools for data inputting and outputting like, AutoCAD, GIS and Excel. For this, I chose part of Anabta Town, as a study area because this part of the town is unserved by a wastewater collection network (WWCN). In addition, this part has data, and the case is interesting. Anabta is a Palestinian town lies between Nablus and Tulkarm, located 9 kilometers to the east of Tulkarm. Sewer systems are important systems for residential and industrial areas to dispose of the wastewater that is produced due to water consumption, but design of sewer systems is constrained by several factors such as amount of wastewater, topography, and design period. This design should be effective, efficient, appropriate to the designed area, and the cost is minimum. These things should be considered in any sewer system to be designed and constructed. The objective of the design of this type of system is to collect and dispose of wastewater in a safe way without causing any infectious diseases and environmental problems. I had demonstrated the output from the work in tabulated format, figures, plan views, and profiles. In addition, I prepared a bill of quantity for the wastewater collection network and I computed the cost of constructing network per 1 km. I made conclusions and I summarized proper recommendations at the end
