| dc.description.abstract | The project aims to protect the area from settlement and enhance Palestinian presence by attracting local and foreign visitors to learn about its rich and diverse history. The project seeks to achieve this goal by using traditional architectural elements that reflect Palestinian cultural identity and highlight its aesthetics. The architectural design of the project features a stepped layout that increases privacy and ensures a comfortable experience for visitors. It incorporates traditional elements such as arches and arcades, which add an authentic atmosphere to the place. Irregular pathways and multiple staircases are used to create exciting and enjoyable routes for tourists, adding an element of surprise and excitement to their experience. These design elements aim to provide a unique tourist experience filled with surprises and enjoyment, enhancing the attractiveness of the area and contributing to the local economy. Additionally, the project helps preserve Palestinian cultural heritage by showcasing traditional architecture and using it as a means to attract both international and local attention to the historical and cultural significance of the area. The visitor accommodations were inspired by the traditional Palestinian Manṭār (farmhouse), offering guests the chance to experience the traditional lifestyle and enjoy the beauty of authentic Palestinian architecture. Through these efforts, the project aims to foster a deeper connection between visitors and Palestinian culture and raise international awareness about the importance of preserving this area from any threats of settlement or cultural change. | |
