Abstract
The Institute Of Childhood is a multifunctional building which is located beside the Faculty of Law in the new campus of AL-Najah National University. The main function of this building is to provide a good health care and high standards kindergarten for mentally harmed children.
The importance of this building is manifested in the safety of the children who has the Autism disease and the provision of a comfortable environment to help the Rehabilitation process so the merge step with the normal students in schools could be done.
The main aspects that should be considered and redesigned in this project are the architectural and the environmental aspects.
This project described the redesign process for this building and gave quantitative results for each of architectural, environmental, mechanical, electrical and structural aspects.
This project was done by the use of a reliable knowledge gained by reliable references such as books, codes, websites and the supervisor’s experience, and by the use of prober, reliable software's for designing and simulating the buildings.
