Robots have been a major component of sci-fi movies for a long time, and while many things humans thought to be just that, science fiction have already been achieved, from the increasing automation of factories all around the world, to the increasing popularity of precise machinery like 3D printers and CNC cutters, one of the things we have always wanted to be able to do is to control objects by waving our hands around in midair, while the Iron man 2 movie, released in 2010, shows a glimpse of this sci-fi wish of many, today, with the addition of the Leap Motion Controller to the portfolio of sensors, this dream is now much closer to reality. In this project, we combine the Leap motion technology for hand tracking with many different technologies in robotics, to produce a robot car, with an arm on top, all controlled by the simple wave of a hand on top of the Leap device. All to reduce the risk on humans in hazardous zones, such as chemistry labs, nuclear energy plants, oil mines and many others, in which movement in tight places is highly required, this robot uses the technology of Mecanum wheels to establish movement in all kinds of tightly packed spaces, all with a simple gesture from the user's handen_US
