Corona Virus & wastewater in Palestine

Abstract

As it has a serious negative impact on the environment and human health, wastewater is considered a critical pollution source in Palestine. Usually, raw sewage is discharged into the valleys, but sometimes it's left to infiltrate through soak pits into the weak underlying aquifers. That even gets worse when we take into consideration the poor economic conditions that prevent the construction of infrastructure and overburden the local population with the costly expenses of wastewater disposal by septic tanks.
