dc.description.abstract | Hostels project is one of the important , & vital project in education community due to the increasment of the high demand of higher education ,which encourages young student to go abroad & follow their passion of reaching the highest level of education . As a result of that , hostels design should meet the student comfort from educational aspects, enviromentl aspects , social aspects , & even entertainment aspects to have the best performance . As a building engineering students , the major objective of any project is to have an integrated design from architectural , structural ,environmental , & electromechanical view . In this hostel project , designing a smart building with the best economical technologies will be one of our goals . Moreover, environmental teqnieqes well be used to reduce the energy consumption by 40 % , which well reduces the costs of electricity , water supply .. & other traditional costs . To achieve these objects, the methodology that will be used in this design process is divided into two stages along with the two semesters . the first stage will begin with a case study research & analysis . It will include architectural, structural , & environmental analysis with compare to the standards . Then a fully architectural & green design of the hostel well be done at the end of this semester . At The second stage , an structural , environmental , electromechanical design will be the major topics , using programs such tha DIAlux evo for illumination design needs , Design builder for thermal comfort , SAP for structural analysis , & others . Althought , this project has been done before worldwide , the projects that exists in our country doesn’t meet the common architectural , & environmental standard .SO , our hope is to reach the optimum design according to the standards . | en_US |
