Sarra village has a good water and wastewater systems in addition to a treatment plant .The treatment plant was constructed in 2013 as a constructed wetlands to make sure it works efficiently some samples were taken from the two stages of the treatment plant , furthermore, experiments were done to measure the concentration of BOD, COD and TSS to compare them with specifications. After making analysis for the two stages and find K 20 and efficiency for two stages ,the results showed that there is a problem in the plant and it doesn't work efficiently. So an addition to the plant ought to be made, like designing of Up flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket known as UASB tank. The UASB tank is supposed to make the treatment plant more reliable and expected to provide Sarra with water that meets specification of reused water. The tank was analyzed through employing engineering principles such as Wastewater process simulation program like GPS-X. The design of UASB tank was done using two cases, the first case by using UASB alone and the other by using UASB-Digester. The results of design show that using UASB alone needs using the wetlands functioning as tertiary treatment after it while using UASB-Digester doesn't need wetlands after it. The concentrations of BOD,COD and TSS after using UASB-Digester was 24,74 and 91(mg/L) respectively and this results meet Palestinian standards so it’s preferable to use this system .And in this Case wetlands which already exist become natural reserve. Major problems, experiments and calculations might have some errors and the community might not be able to fund this type of project.en
