Abstract
In recent years, the world has witnessed a significant increase in the desire to adopt pets and care for their health and well-being. This interest goes beyond companionship and play, as pets have proven to offer both psychological and social benefits. On a mental health level, human interaction with pets has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and enhance feelings of happiness. Having a pet at home serves as a source of emotional support and psychological comfort.
Caring for pets also becomes a valuable learning experience for both children and adults, teaching responsibility and commitment through meeting the daily needs of the animals. The benefits of raising pets are numerous and diverse; the relationship between a person and their pet extends beyond fun and play, having a positive impact on many aspects of human life.
This growing awareness has also helped shed light on animal rights, emphasizing the importance of treating them as sentient beings created by God, capable of feeling and suffering. Kindness is a reason for the love of God, His Messenger, and people, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Indeed, Allah gives for gentleness what He does not give for harshness. When Allah loves a servant, He grants him gentleness. No household is deprived of gentleness except that they are deprived of the love of Allah.” Unfortunately, in recent years, there has been a rise in the killing of stray dogs in the city of Tulkarm.
This research will address various topics related to the importance of such centers in Tulkarm and other cities in general, and their positive impact on veterinary health and the environment by reducing the spread of diseases transmitted through human-animal interaction. It also focuses on providing training opportunities for animals and ensuring their physical and mental well-being.
Additionally, this project aims to design a hotel for the pets of travelers, along with a medical care center that meets the needs of all kinds of pets, whether adopted or stray, giving them a second chance at life and care.
