Abstract
Abstract: Airport is very important facility that must be exist at any country around the world; since its the fastest transportation way to transport people and goods. So the idea of the establishment of the Palestine International Airport came from this point. The main objective of this project is to facilitate transportation inside and outside the country. This project needs to be designed structurally for this airport, it is composed from six part distributed as follow: 1- Control tower 2- Arrivals hall 3- Departures hall 4- Shopping center 5- Bridge 6- Barking and restaurant The structure of the airport was designed using two types of construction methods, the first one is concrete which used for foundations for whole structure, column, slabs of first floor and shear walls, the construction of concrete is subjected to ACI 318-11 code. The reinforcement of all parts are to resist the moment, shear force actions. The structure is designed for dynamic loads also (earthquake actions). this design is subjected to UBC-88 code. The second type is steel construction, which its parts involves some of columns, bridge and the shells to cover the surface. The tools that used to help in the design are SAP2000 and E-taps in all computerized designs, and hand calculations. It is important to mention that the project did not designed before especially in Palestine. However, it is constructed generally in other countries.
