Abstract
The project is a center that serves autistic children from 3-18 years old , and it is a day treatment center . The goal of the project is to create an environment designed according to the criteria for autism, including the lowest level of dispersal in order to maintain the highest level of concentration in the child so that the child is gradually rehabilitated to deal with Outside world .
The idea of the project is based on dividing the blocks according to the gradation in privacy and then dividing the special blocks into three blocks, which form therapeutic blocks according to the age group (3-6), (7-12), (13-18) and finally each therapeutic block includes divided therapeutic spaces According to the sensory diversity, starting from the classrooms with low sensory stimulation, ending with the sensory rooms with high sensory stimulation, in order to protect the autistic child from sensory shocks as a result of random movement between the spaces, a special color was used for each class to help the child identify his therapeutic block.
The project includes a diagnostic department, 3 treatment sections according to the age group, a section that includes small professional workshops for the older age group, an indoor swimming pool, an indoor gym, a library, and also a special section for the rehabilitation of parents of autistic children.
The blocks for large groups were distributed functional spaces on two floors and exposed external slopes that allow the child to move freely without fear. The colors were used in the appropriate degrees for autism so that they give a sense of calm and comfort and reduce the stimulation and dispersal of the child inside the treatment rooms.
