Redesign Complex Ministry In Ramallah

Abstract
The fight of the Palestinian people affect clearly in move forward the steps achieving the Palestinian dream of building an independent state by the presence of the features of this state represented in the Palestinian National Authority, which is trying hard to reduce all expressions into the application. This can be obtained by making city of Ramallah include most ministries and administrative institutions as well as trade union. On this basis, Ramallah is witnessing movement in construction and physical development through directing most of society institutions to establish infrastructure in it. From here, it was the beginning of starting to build complex ministries, which will explain profiles of a Palestinian state later. The main features of a Ministry Complex are that it is close to the city center and has qualified network of roads leading to it. The project includes 8 parts, namely; the Prime Ministry, the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Ministry of Interior and National Economy, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Justice the Authority of Land. The ministries were distributed to the buildings within the functional framework that combines related buildings together.The main aim of this project is to provide a general redesign of the ministry complex project in Ramallah and a detailed design (which include shop drawings) of the Ministry of Economy and Planning. The following items include the most important objectives to be addressed:1. Architectural redesign of the building that will focus on the function between all buildings, Movement, the movement of the sun and its impact on buildings (environmental requirement).2. Structural design of the building (Ministry of Economy and Planning) this part aims to analyze and design the Economy and Trade of Ministry. The ultimate strength design method will be use and the structure will be analyzed as three-dimensional structure. The model will calculate for seismic load.3. Environmental design of the building that will include the design of acoustics, solar energy and thermal insulation.4. Electrical design of the building will include lighting units and sockets.5. Mechanical design of the building will include design of HVAC system, Elevator and Plumbing and sewage.The Locate of each ministry and the nature of its architectural design and directed based on the direct relationship with the delegations visiting or the nature of working with them, and taken ministerial positions in the following order (the Ministry of Economy and Planning, Land Authority, the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, the Interior Ministry. The Palestinian Ministries Complex Project in the city of Ramallah lies on lot No.88 through No.94 basin No. 19 of Al-Nahda District in Al-Masyoun area in the city of Ramallah. As shown in Figure 1.2 the black brown lot is for the complex project. The site is surrounded by Al-Ma`hed Street from the west, Imile Habib Street from the south, six buildings with five floor from the east and Technical Palestine College Ramallah Girls College from the north. The first step of this project was making analysis of the ministries as all , this analysis include architectural , structural and environmental decide. Then we take the ministry which has the less environmental design and redesign it in a good way and finally we make a destination between the old and new building.
