Abstract
This research aims primarily to do a general study of the status of architectural education in the
world, the Arab world and Palestine in general, and to highlight the importance of architectural
education and the need for an educational institution concerned with the study of architecture and its
branches, with the aim of renaissance in Palestinian architecture and the pursuit of Preserving the
architectural heritage and defining a clear vision about the future of Palestinian architecture, which is
necessary to take care of it and seek to develop it and preserve its authentic identity
Therefore, this research sheds light on a global model for the College of Architecture in order to keep
pace with the development reached by the world in the teaching of architecture. .
So that the aim of this study is to translate it into an educational building that expresses the extent of
the interest and adherence of the Palestinian person to science and its development as the first line of
defense for his being
So that the college will teach the branches of architecture according to correct foundations, with the
aim of refining the identity of the Palestinian architect.
The circumstances that Palestine in general and Palestinian architecture in particular have passed
through and are still going through led to the current architecture in Palestine following random paths
without clear directions, and from here the need emerged to create a Palestinian architectural
generation capable of reforming the architectural fabric, developing it and raising it to the level
which befits him
The project site was chosen in the northern part of the lands of the city of Jenin, so that the project
land is preceded by a street that branches off from Nazareth Street, which connects the Palestinian
interior areas with the lands of the northern West Bank, with the aim of attracting Palestinian interior
students to study architecture in a Palestinian college in order to ensure that they obtain correct
architectural information without distorting it by the occupier Contributing to the unity of Palestinian
youth. In the design of the site in the project, the use of green and wooden spaces was taken into
account in order to achieve thermal comfort, and umbrellas were used so that they can be used as
places to sit or hold external lectures, and there will be special areas to grow everything necessary to
prepare food in the cafeteria with the aim of applying the principle of sustainability, which is That
the building be sufficient for what it produces, and solar panels on the roof so that the building is able
to produce the energy it needs. In addition, rainwater will be collected to benefit from it. In the
facades, glass areas appear that contribute to providing natural lighting, in addition to green walls
that provide thermal comfort, reduce noise, and give shadows.
The aim of the project is to provide a comfortable and interactive environment that meets the needs
of architecture students and to be a model that architecture students can benefit from
