The idea of this project came from the need of a residential building of redesign due to incorrect of current design in case of seismic load. Therefore, our team want to find a solution for this case of problem where the torsion of the building is very possible if seismic action upon the building occur. The most important issue in residential building is safety which need the correct design with best economical solution. The project will include firstly fully details about soil properties of the site, the materials used in construction, loads types(DEAD, LIVE,SEISMIC) and its combination, and verification check according to ASCE 7-10 ,ACI 318-14, IBC, and UBC codes , and preliminary design for its member and manual calculation according to basic principles learned in the related courses to select initial dimensions, and make a 3D model for a block of this research building and analyzed it using ETABS program. Secondly it will have a full detail plans and sections for all element in this research building using AUTOCAD program. The preliminary dimension of the building determined. the checks for modeling of the structure, design checks, and design elements using reinforce concreteen_US
