Abstract
(Roots) is an international stadium design project that carries symbolic meaning inspired by the roots of the olive tree — a representation of resilience and deep connection to Palestinian land. This project aims to present sports as a powerful and peaceful tool to communicate the Palestinian cause to the world, by creating a space that embodies national identity and showcases the creative and resilient spirit of the Palestinian people despite ongoing challenges.
The design is rooted in the concept of the “root” as both a structural and philosophical element, symbolizing the unbreakable bond between people and land. Through its architectural language, the project reflects a sense of belonging, strength, and aspiration. The stadium becomes a platform for cultural and human exchange, allowing Palestinians to express their cause through a universal language: the language of sports.
