The project presents an integrated design of a municipality in the eastern region of Nablus. The building of the old municipality on Faisal Street has become unable to meet the local needs because of its small offices, large number of staff and visitors, expansion of municipality work and investment. Therefore a large building is needed to cover all city requirements. As a result, Nablus new municipality is selected to be our graduation project. The project presents an integrative design that involves structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, environmental, and safety aspects. The architectural design will focus on selecting the shape and appropriate land for it, the orientation and the form of the structures depending on the functionality and the environmental requirements. The structural analysis design will be carried using computer software such as SAP 2000. The analysis will include 3-D model of the structure, dynamic analysis, and soil structure interaction. In mechanical and environmental design, HVAC (heating, ventilating, and air conditioning), water, and sanitary systems in the project will be analyzed and designed. The electrical design will include designing power and lightening systems in the project. In addition, designing the emergency exits, fire protection system and all the systems needed to ensure the public safety in the building. All design and analysis details of the project will be documented in a report. In addition, the project will deliver shop drawings, which contain all design details and can be implemented in practice. At the end, this project will provide a unique, safe and cost effective design of Nablus new municipality building, and it's approximately $4M. The specific objectives of the proposed project are: Architectural design: The architectural design considers the shape of the building, personnel circulation and the appropriate functionality for each room.   Structural design: in the structural design, the structure will be represented in a 3-D model which accounts for dynamic analysis and seismic design, the analysis and design of the structure will be carried out using computer software.   Mechanical design: in the mechanical, the HVAC, water, and sanitary systems in the project will be analyzed and designed.   Environmental design, the environmental design will include the orientation of the building, thermal masses and type of insulation used in the building.   Electrical design: the electrical design of the structure will be performed to satisfy lighting and power system requirement.   Public safety design: in public safety design, emergency exits and fire protection systems will be designed.   This report is divided into six chapters, starting with chapter one which introduces the idea and the main objectives of this project. In chapter two, the constraints, standards/codes and earlier course work. The principles of municipality design are discussed in chapter three. In chapter four, two case studies related to the project are discussed. In chapter Five, the selected site for the project is analyzed and it was modeled by Revit program to analyze the Sun path and the shadow effect. Finally, in chapter six, the plan for future work in the next semester is discussed.   2.2 .  Codes:   The following codes and standards will be used in carrying different design accepts in the project: Architectural Design codes and specifications: Architects data, Second (International) English Edition. Neufert Architects data, 3rd Edition. Structural Design codes and specifications: The American concrete Institute code ACI 318-.05 The uniform building code UBC 97 for the seismic design. Mechanical Design codes and specifications. Mechanical codes adopted by the Palestinian authority.    en
