A stand-alone photovoltaic power system is designed to operate residential appliances in remote area in Hebron .The complete design of the suggested system was carried out, such that the site radiation data and the electrical load data of a typical household in the considered site were taken into account during the design steps. The design of a stand-alone system has been explained in two methods; method 1: centralized standalone system, and method 2: decentralized standalone system. Cost analysis of standalone photovoltaic system for both methods was carried out to assess the economic viability of these two methods. The results of the study encouraged the use of centralized PV system to electrify this area.en_US
