Abstract
The aim of the project is to analyze shweikah network and modify or redesign the network to meet the requirements for the next 25 years. This will be done using ArcGIS software. The final outcome of the project will be a full design of a water network that will meet the future requirements.
To achieve the above objective the project will include the following tasks:
First ,collect data regarding Shweikah area including topographic map ,water network map , population and their distribution ,data regarding the network and data regarding water sources in the area.
Second, develop a questionnaire to collect further data regarding the study area ,the questionnaire include questions to measure the per capita water consumption ,the performance of the network ,the income and the losses in the net work.the questionnaire will be distributed to at least 5% of the stakeholders in Shweikah area.
Third, Analyze the outcome of the questionnaire and reach some conclusions regarding the water supply services in the area
Fourth, Work on the maps and the collected data to develop data needed for ArcGIS program.
Fifth, Develope the input file for the existing conditions water supply network and run the model for the existing conditions and develop some conclusions regarding the existing network.
Sixth, Develop the future water requirements based on agreed upon assumptions and demand patterns.
Seventh, Develope the input file for future conditions and reach the final design
